The Ark Retreat Center is an ecumenical retreat center in a woodland setting over- looking the mountains, providing
peaceful seclusion for rest, renewal, and re-centering. It provides a welcoming environment of hospitality and companionship
for persons desiring to grow in their relationship with God. Guided retreats incorporating periods of silence for prayer and
reflection, journaling, and meditative use of the arts are available for individuals and groups. We also offer: a labyrinth; spiritual guidance; short-term study guide programs for church groups and others on themes related to spiritual and community life; and a library of books is available on subjects related to spirituality and faith life. Many of the rooms and several decks provide views of the mountains, while other rooms overlook the surrounding woods. The ten acres of grounds provide ample space for nature walks and settings of solitude. Many kinds of birds, deer, and a variety of other animals are often visible from the house.
Accommodations; Over-night accommodations are available at the retreat house for individuals and for small groups of up to twelve persons. Furnishings are simple but comfortable. Meals are included in overall fee. We also have The Hermitage, a simple, one-room space provided for persons who desire time alone for prayer, contemplation, and discernment. It is set apart from the main retreat house, with views of the woods and mountains. Furnishings include a bed-sitting area, cooking facilities,
shower, and chemical toilet. Guests provide for their own meals.
